A board-certified radiologist, Dr. Ashwin Nambiar is a graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School who went on to complete his residency and internship at institutions in Brooklyn, New York. After that, he moved on to a fellowship at the University of Maryland. In his most recent position, he was a radiologist with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Menlo Park, California. In this role, Dr. Ashwin Nambiar provided radiological analysis of plain film images, as well as ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans.

Before joining the VA hospital, Dr. Nambiar served as a radiologist with AMN Staffcare, providing spot support as a locum for institutions throughout the state when fill-in services were needed. In addition to his radiology work, he maintains a key interest in issues related to health care policies and how they help inform the way care is delivered. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Nambiar is an experienced public and motivational speaker. He has also been performing stand-up comedy for a decade.
